Waterford, MI: Charity game night

On May 16, 2010, the Overtyme Grill & Tap generously hosted the "Overtyme Gameroom Olympics." The event featured a variety of fun competitions, from euchre and trivia to bowling and pool, as well as a raffle and silent auction. All proceeds benefited HELP.

After the earthquake, Dick and Nancy Peurtas, the owners of the Overtyme Grill & Tap in Waterford, MI, approached their friend, Jan MacCormack, asking how they could help. Nancy knew Jan’s daughter, Jennifer, lived and worked in Haiti, first as a Peace Corps volunteer and now as Project Officer for the International Office of Migration (IOM). In 2007, Jan visited her daughter in Haiti and met HELP founder Conor Bohan and friend of Jennifer's. Jan came away so inspired by the work and mission of HELP, the MacCormack family have been strong advocates and supporters of the program ever since.
